FAQ

POPULAR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What’s the Villa’s ‘feel’?
Villa Kaniksa has been designed and built in traditional Balinese style. Furniture and decorations are of high quality and virtually all pieces were locally designed and hand made. The Villa is owned by a Dutch/Indonesian expat family, who treat it as their second home and who want their guests to enjoy it as much as they do.

How do we pay?
Upon agreeing the dates, you will be receiving an invoice with the request to make a 50% deposit. You can do so through bank transfer or Paypal (details are in the invoice). Once the money has been received the booking is confirmed. Final payment can be made at check-out, where we accept cash or credit cards.

What’s good to do, that’s near to the Villa?
In front of Villa Kaniksa is a nice, sheltered, snorkelling area. Very suitable for kids. Walking distance is the village lotus pond, some artisan shops, F&B outlets and a small supermarket. A bit further away is a beautiful snorkelling/diving area (Blue Lagoon) and the paradisiacal White Sand Beach, both best reached by hiring a local fishing boat (which our staff can do). What is also recommendable is a visit to the Amlapura traditional market, which can be combined with the Tirtagangga water palace. Finally, for the more adventurous, there is wild water rafting, mountain biking or trekking mount Batur. Etc etc.

What’s the maximum amount of guests allowed?
The villa can comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults +/+ 2 children.

Do you offer complimentary meals for guests?
Daily complimentary continental breakfast will be provided to you during your stay with us and is included in the daily rate. Lunch and dinner can be served upon request at an extra fee. We have a fantastic chef onsite, who enjoys providing our guests with meal suggestions akin to Indonesian and French-European cuisines. Try the fresh seafood barbecue or the Nasi Bebek (duck)!

What’s On The Food Menu?
We like our guests to interact with the chef, so as to discuss and optimise lunch/dinner options. He will know what’s locally available or in season and can advise you accordingly. However we do have a standard menu as well. Just ask us for a copy and we will send you one.

What staff will be available to us during our stay at the villa?
A butler, chef and villa attendants will be available to serve you throughout stay. The staff are highly discreet and will be as ‘visible’ or ‘invisible’ as you want them to be.

What hours will the Villa staff be available to us?
Staff services are provided 7 days a week, from 07.00 – 22.00, a night guard is present from 22.00 – 07.00. The villa is extremely safe and we have never had any incidents.

Are there onsite spa-massage treatment services available to guests?
Spa-services are available upon request. They can either be arranged at a good massage parlour in Candidasa, or at the villa itself.

Will other parties be staying at the villa when we are there?
No! Villa Kaniksa is only available to be rented in full, as a complete villa, so you and your family / friends will have the villa to yourselves = full privacy.
